Merlin vs. TomatoUSB

November 30, 2014

When I bought my Asus RT-N66U I had already in mind to use other router software. So I started with Asuswrt-Merlin. I wanted to be able to monitor my Internet usage and for that purpose it satisfied.
After some time I replaced Merlin by TomatoUSB. It has more/other features and slowly on I’ve managed to install Python on it to run my scripts for monitoring and storing my Satellite data usage (yes, the only viable Internet option where I live is via satellite).

Douce and Larry

November 24, 2014

Never thought we would have a dog, let alone own two dogs.
In the beginning of this year we took a dog from a shepherd. That’s Douce1.
Then, some weeks ago, one of our neighbors found an abandoned little dog next to the road.
Ineke and the neighbors’ son went to the vet to find out his age and health. The veterinarian thought he would be about 3 to 4 months old, he still has his calf’s teeth, and said he’s in good health.

November 19, 2014

14 years ago we bought our house in France, With our -then- holiday house came a lot of terrain. About one half gras, one half mixed forest. Too much grass to cut with a simple mower, so we needed a lawn tractor, un tracteur de pelouse.

Honda XLR 125 R - Continued

November 18, 2014

A week ago I found the reason why my motorbike drained its battery so fast. At least that’s what I’m hoping for. It appeared to be a so called regulator, well hidden under the seat.
Unfortunately I do not have a manual for the bike, so I need to do a lot of searching.
Luckily for me there is the neighbor who likes tinkering around with motorbikes.
As with my iMac I can follow the trip of the ordered piece. Impressive I would say.
